Africa Insight: Hand-painted signs
Posted by daveb on August 13th, 2008
In the UK, our street adverts and billboards are mass-produced. In Africa, they are more commonly hand-painted. The artists are talented for sure, but every now and then we are fortunate enough to to see what the artist didn’t at the time — click the picture to enlarge it.

Dave, I refute the claim that I am responsible for the damage to the first giraffe. Has Claire not told you of the suprisingly high frequency of Earth Quakes in the Hinckley area!!! The replacement which you have sent over will remain in it’s bubble wrap until it can be found a home with yourselves! Glad you’re both enjoying your adventures.

Hi Dad
Clumsy? You? Of course we wouldn’t dare say such a thing! Glad the new giraffe arrived safely and mum’s put it out of your reach.
How did your first day as wedding driver go? You didn’t step on the bride’s dress did you?!
Love Claire (not Squiffy) xx
